Is this a Production 2018 Lexus LC 500 Caught in the Wild? Prototype Hunting

The 2018 LC is the new pinnacle of luxury sport coupes for Lexus. It combines elegance, luxury, and performance into a single package. The Lexus LC lineup includes the LC 500 and LC 500h hybrid versions.

The LC 500 uses the 5.0L naturally aspirated V8 that is also found in the Lexus RC. In the LC, the engine produces 467 horsepower and it’s paired to a new 10-speed automatic transmission. New light-weight chassis will allow for a sub-4.5 seconds 0-60 MPH acceleration.

The LC 500h is the introduction of Lexus’ new Multi Stage Hybrid hybrid system. It will use a 3.5L V6 gasoline engine in combination with an electric motor and lithium-ion battery pack combines for a total output of 354 horsepower. The LC 500h will not be an exotic car killer, but it’s interesting that Lexus also did not use the “LC 600h” label on the car. Perhaps, a more extreme Lexus LC is still to come?
