According to an article published in the Vail Daily, some of Colorado’s finest pulled over a trio of Ford GT prototypes for traveling above the posted speed limit.
The article stated that the cars were pulled over in Glenwood Canyon, which is about an hour’s drive west of Vail. They were clocked at “well over” the posted speed limit, although the article doesn’t state exactly how fast the cars were traveling.
The cars attracted a lot of police attention, as officers from the Avon police department, the Eagle County Sheriff’s office and the Colorado State Patrol all responded to the speeding violation.
TFLcar spotted Ford GT prototypes testing in Colorado, and they may well be the same cars. The GT is a highly anticipated new supercar, which will have a 600-horsepower, 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine. The production vehicle is expected to go on sale in late 2016
