UPDATE (10/24): It seems that this video is not what it seems. It was not from the old Top Gear, at least not really. It’s from the Clarkson, Hammond and May Live show that went on after the infamous firing of Jeremy Clarkson and the whole ordeal that followed.

The original article follows below.

When the old Top Gear guys – Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May – kick off their new Amazon show, The Grand Tour, in November, they might have a blast from the past joining them.

Back in the old Top Gear days, the Stig – the tame racing driver without an identity – was actually British race and stunt driver Ben Collins. He wrote a tell-all book and was subsequently relieved of his Stig duties, but he did make a few appearances on the show after that as himself.

Well, if this clip is true, it looks like Ben Collins – who now plays a new racing driver called, ironically, The Ben Collins – will rejoin the trio as their racing driver.

This is from a YouTube account called “Richard Hammond,” which as we all know may or may not be the official channel of Mr. Hammond. However, this clip seems to be legitimate, and it’s definitely not Top Gear – they mention how Collins worked on some other TV show, but don’t mention it by name. Clarkson also suggests calling him “The Stog.”

The Grand Tour premieres on November 18 on Amazon Prime, and from this clip, it looks like the boys have picked up right where they left off.
