Honda just unveiled the 2017 Honda Civic Si last night, but we already have an exclusive look at the upcoming Civic Type R interior. Honda gave TFLcar special access to take a look at the interior of the Type R prototype, which is displayed at the show.
The aggressively bolstered seats were the first thing to catch our eye, next is the polished silver gear shifter knob for the manual transmission. The Type R prototype is shown as a four passenger car with cupholders taking up the middle bottom seat cushion in the back. There are carbon fiber trim pieces and red accents throughout the interior.
Of course, the Type R has specially tuned suspension that we don’t know much about yet. The car has a triple exhaust outlets in the back, Brembo brakes, and a turbocharged engine with at least 300 horsepower.
The Type R should be available for sale in the middle of 2017 calendar year.
