Land Rover Discovery pops up ahead of LA Auto Show [News]

Discovery Venice

The all-new 2017 Land Rover Discovery made its first appearance in North America at an event in Venice, California ahead of the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show.

The Discovery, which made its world-wide debut at the Paris auto show earlier this year, is Land Rover’s replacement for the LR4 and a return of the legendary Discovery name to the U.S. The three-row SUV will be available midway through 2017 at a starting price of $49,990, plus $995 destination, and will offer either a a 3.0-liter, supercharged gasoline V-6 or a 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel.

The new Disco popped up at a consumer popup event called Discovery Venice, where the public can check out the new Land Rover along with a plethora of products including sports and fitness, cycling, and surfing gear. Some quasi-celebrities will be there as well, like volleyballer Gabby Reece and her husband, surfer Laird Hamilton (pictured above).
