3 – Lexus ES350
Like the Prius, I’ve had multiple encounters with the Lexus ES. The first was the ES300h hybrid, and I wasn’t too kind to it. However, when I got the ES350 with the tried-and-true 3.5-liter V6 under the hood, it was like the car was transformed. Sure it’s a little soft at times, and the front-drive platform understeers and torque steers when pushed hard, but as an affordable luxury sedan with surprising power and renowned comfort, it’s tough to beat.
