Is there much of a difference between a 1999 Porsche Boxster and a 2017 Kia Soul when they have both come with 201 horsepower?
In this episode of TFL’s Project Porsche video series, Roman and Tommy Mica found out recently when they took the two cars to a racetrack to see if there are any differences.
Although the two vehicles produce the same horsepower, they’re actually quite different. The Porsche doesn’t come equipped with a turbo like the Soul.
The first test they performed was a drag race. On the first attempt, the Porsche came in first, handily beating the Kia. But during the second attempt, Roman was able to get the turbo to kick in sooner, beating the Porsche.
Roman and Tommy then decided to do a hot lap around the track to see once and for all which was the fastest car. They both said the lap isn’t totally scientific being that they two different cars with two different drivers.
Which vehicle was the fastest in the hot lap race? Did the turbo help make a difference? Find out by watching the complete TFL video above.
