The all-new 2018 VW Atlas three-row crossover is not one sale yet, but Volkswagen is already expanding the choices with the R-Line appearance package you see here. The new crossover will make its official debut next week in Detroit. The R-Line package offers unique exterior and interior design elements and 20-inch twin-spoke wheels.

The R-Line will be available with both the SE and SEL trim levels of the Atlas. It will also be offered with the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder or the 3.6L V6. It means that you can choose an R-Line with either 235 hp or the 276 hp output, front-wheel-drive or 4Motion all-wheel-drive.

The 2018 Atlas goes on sale in the Spring of 2018. The R-Line package will be available a little later after launch.

The Atlas R-Line will be shown at the 2017 North American International Auto Show (aka. NAIAS, aka. Detroit Auto Show) next week. Stay tuned to our full coverage of the show, starting on Sunday January 8th, 2017.

    1. It is sexy all the right lines Andre i think for me the problem is its identical to the explorer from every angle but the looks a lot nicer I don’t like the name atlas as it emplies it can go everywhere as we all know that’s hummer fj cruiser jeep and Land Rover territory and words lol

    2. What do you guys think about the 2018 VW Atlas in general? Have you seen one at a show yet? Do you know much about it? How successful do you think it will be against the likes of the Ford Explorer?

      1. I like it very much, though I haven’t seen it in person yet. It’s spacious, simple but elegant and I guess very good car to drive and to keep for long. But I guess it will find its place among the segment just like Jetta and Passat in their own; not the best seller, not a big surprise, but at the same time not a very slow seller, something amid I mean.
