The all-new Buick Regal appears to be in almost ready to roll. TFLcar’s Nathan Adlen headed into the Colorado mountains to hunt for soon-to-be-released cars and trucks going through high-altitude testing. He spotted this sedan, which TFLcar’s braintrust believes is likely the 2018 Regal.

The new sedan is basically a rebadged Euro-spec’d Opel Insignia. Word on the street is that the all-new sports sedan could come equipped with a 2.0-liter, turbocharged 4-cylinder jacked up to produce as much as 300 horsepower and feature all-wheel-drive. There’s even a wagon version, the Regal TourX, coming to the U.S. by the end of 2017. Even better, this screamer of a sedan will be reportedly priced to go for somewhere between $30k-$40K, leaving GM’s Cadillac brand to chase after the more premium customers.

    1. Chinese market Regal sedan (not the hatchback). Might even be the hybrid or have the 1.5L turbo 4cyl.

In the US the 4cyl will be the same 2.0T as the in the Malibu with 250 hp. The GS will have a V6 with about 310 hp.
