Roman and Tommy spotted an unidentified Ford SUV — could it be the new 2019 Explorer? — high up in the Colorado’s high country while prototype hunting. At first glance it looks like something different, something not from Ford. But it wasn’t until the duo followed it to a parking lot full of Ford products that they realized they were looking at a new full-size SUV from the Blue Oval.

    1. I have a 2017 Explorer Sport. It looks exactly the same. The tail lights you can see right through the disguise and are exactly the same. Looks like the foglights are possibly different, but this isn’t a redesign. https://snag.gy/aseX2G.jpg

    2. Nice job guys! You have the best job, in the most beautiful state. I’m thinking Explorer. I hope it comes with a little more ground clearance. And thinner A-pillars. And that hump in the floor just in front of the front seats.

    3. I’m a big Ford guy here. It looks like the sleak designs of the Ford explorer. I believe it’s what they have coming out next.

    4. Yes I know Lincoln is Ford-MC. There is a different demographic for Ford vs Lincoln. Currently Lincoln isn’t selling an Explorer sized SUV. They have the MKC(Escape), MKX(Edge) and MKT(Flex) but the next size jumps to the Navigator(Expedition)(MKN?) I was considering that Lincoln might use the extended Chinese 7 Passenger version of the Edge in stead of a luxed-up Explorer to fill that gap as the next MK?.
