Dodge is proudly announcing that theĀ 2018 Dodge Durango SRT is America’s fastest, most capable SUV. With a 6.4L, 392 cu-in, 475 horsepower Hemi V8, it certainly should be… Until the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk comes along. Dodge is also taking the opportunity to announce that theĀ 2018 Dodge Durango SRT will have a base MSRP of just $62,995 (without $1,095 destination fee)

Performance

Despite the Trackhawk producing even more mind-bending performance figures, the Durango SRT will be no slouch on the track. The 6.4L Hemi in question produces, in addition to its 475 horses, 470 lb-ft of torque. This power is sent to all four wheels through am 8-speed automatic transmission, specially tuned for the SRT. This powertrain allows the SRT to hit 60 in 4.4 seconds and a quarter mile in 12.9, according to Dodge. In fact, the SRT will keep on going to a top speed of 180 MPH (Which is actually the same as the Trackhawk).Ā It is a good thing then, that Dodge will include a days worth of performance driving instruction with the purchaseĀ of eachĀ 2018 Dodge Durango SRT.
