When it comes to ground clearance vehicles, no list would be complete without Subaru. Based on the lower-riding Impreza, the Crosstrek is the newest vehicle to join Subaru’s lineup. It sits 3.6 inches higher than its cousin – bringing ground clearance up to 8.7 inches. As with the Impreza, the Crosstrek was updated for the 2018 model year.

While the refresh brought more refinement, what hardly changed was lack of power from its anemic 2.0-liter boxer engine. New Crosstreks are up to 152 horsepower from 148 in previous models. Despite lack of oomph, the symmetrical AWD system and safety features make it a solid choice for $21,795 and up.
