Check out this 2019 Aston Martin Vantage prototype that Mike E. spied in the wild just north of Phoenix, Arizona. It’s shedding some camouflage to reveal the sexy lines for the company’s next smallest sports coupe. The sparse information we have so far suggests that the new Vantage will be powered by a twin-turbo V8 that is based on the 4.0L Mercedes-AMG unit. The Aston Martin version of the engine is expected to have a unique power rating and exhaust note.

A first look at the rear of this prototype makes it look a little like a Jaguar F-Type, but a closer examination show off unique rear fenders, valance, and diffuser. We had a chance to sample the Mercedes-AMG V8 in the 2018 GT C Roadster. This is a great powerplant that should make the new Vantage a force to be reckoned with.

Here is a quick blast in the previous version of the Aston Martin Vantage V12.
