A long time in the making, there’s finally a new Volkswagen Jetta!
VW fans rejoice as their 2019 Volkswagen Jetta has been (finally) reimagined, reengineered and redesigned. This new face, which is modern yet completely recognizable as a Volkswagen product, displays the future design language of Volkswagen.
Performance and Trim Levels
Equipped with a 1.4-liter turbocharged and direct-injected “TSI” engine, makes 147 horsepower and 184 lbs-feet of torque, the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta comes with a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission. There will be an “R-Line” sport model available at the launch which will have a trick differential. According to Volkswagen,”the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta will be available in S, SE, SEL, and SEL Premium trim levels and is expected to arrive at U.S. Volkswagen dealers in the second quarter of 2018.
The all-new 2019 Volkswagen Jetta has a vastly improved interior sporting modern touches and improved ergonomics. SEL and SEL Premium models feature Volkswagen’s Digital Cockpit display as standard equipment. Also available is the VW Car-Net system which provides a host of connected vehicle services as well as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and MirrorLink support.
Pricing will start at $18,545. According to Volkswagen, this is less than the outgoing model’s price. The R-Line trim available at launch and features sportier styling, exclusive interior and exterior design elements, R-Line badging, and the XDS electronic differential.
Every Jetta model will come with the People First Warranty, America’s best bumper-to-bumper new vehicle limited warranty. The warranty provides coverage for six-years or 72,000-miles (whichever occurs first) and is transferrable.
