“You get a turbo, you get a turbo, everybody gets a turbo!” – Fiat, 2018

Fiat has just announced an all-turbo lineup for 2018. Specifically, the Fiat 500 Range will come standard with a revamped 1.4L MultiAir turbocharged 4 cylinder engine. Although, the entire Fiat range will come standard with turbo power.

In the Fiat 500 range, power sees a dramatic increase of 33%. The new power figures are 135 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels through your choice of a 5-speed manual transmission, or a 6-speed automatic.

Should you want a bit more power, the Abarth model still comes with a 1.4-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that makes 160 horsepower and 183 lb-ft of torque. Plus, Fiat will throw in a free day of performance driving school at the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving with the purchase of your Abarth.

The Pop and Lounge trim levels (read base and premium) both come standard with this upgraded 1.4L turbo. For 2018, Fiat have added 16-inch aluminum wheels as standard on the Pop and Lounge trims, performance braking system, sport suspension and ParkView rear backup camera. On the exterior, body-color front and rear fascias, side-sill ground effects, a sport spoiler, fog lamps and “Turbo” badging on the tailgate mark the notable changes.
