The Easter Jeep Safari is almost here, and FCA’s kicking things off with this Jeepster concept

Easter is almost here! For those with who normally celebrate the holiday, Easter already packs some serious significance. For Jeep enthusiasts, the day’s significance is two-fold, as Easter means the Easter Jeep Safari. The annual event starts in Moab on March 24th this year, and participants embark on 9 days of off-road adventure.

Even better, FCA turns up each year with an array of concepts, and this year is no exception. They’ve given us a sneak peek at two of those concepts early. Thanks to these images, we can get an idea of what’s going to turn up at this year’s Easter Jeep Safari. Both concepts are based on the 2018 Wrangler, as you’d expect. The concept above is interesting from first glance with its sloped roof. However, take a look at the front fender. See that “Jeepster” badge? That pays homage to the old Jeepster Commando of the 1970s. While that one was more of a civilized model than a rough-and-tumble CJ, this one is geared towards off-roading. It has big chunky tires, not to mention that spare in the back and gas cans attached to the rear door.

The other concept is also a modified Wrangler, but its difficult to tell what’s going on behind the doors. Naturally, this one also has big, chunky tires, but I’d like to see what’s going on around the back. The hood scoop is also an interesting touch to the concept.

TFL is headed to the Easter Jeep Safari, so expect our stories from the event in the coming weeks. Stay tuned to TFLcar.com for more updates! Subscribe to The Fast Lane Car and TFLnow so you don’t miss all the latest from this year’s event.
