TRD Pro ($42,875 to ~$46,500, depending on options)

The TRD Pro is the most off-road focused 4Runner, both in terms of capability and aesthetics. Mechanically, it’s not too much different from the TRD Off-Road trim. Same part-time four-wheel drive system, same locking rear differential, same Multi-Terrain Select and Crawl Control. However, you can spec rigid running boards for $599, and the sliding rear cargo deck for $350.

If you’re looking to go even further with the TRD look, $1,250 gets you 17-inch TRD branded alloy wheels. Bilstein shocks with TRD-tuned front springs are also available for $1799. Finally, there’s the $434 Wilderness Package, which adds cross bars to the roof rack, all-weather floor mats, and a cargo tray.

The TRD Pro makes a strong case for those who want to go off-roading in their 4Runner. This trim gives the 4Runner a more aggressive look, and ticks off nearly every option except for the automatic running boards and large, 20-inch wheels, for obvious reasons. However, the TRD Off-Road and Off-Road Premium trims offer most of the same equipment, save the Bilstein suspension, for $3,000 – $5,000 less.
