Pricing information

The 2019 Volvo S60 comes in three trim levels with three trim levels and three powertrain options. Like its siblings, the S60 rides on Volvo’s Scalable Product Architecture platform, so the powertrains here are the same as what you get in other Volvos. T5 and T6 powertrains are available in Momentum, R-Design and Inscription trim levels. Momentum is the base trim, and the R-Design and Inscription add more features on top. The T8 Plug-in Hybrid is only available in R-Design or Inscription trims.

The T5 is the least expensive and least powerful powertrain option of the bunch. Starting at $35,800 – excluding the $995 destination charge, you get a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine making 250 horsepower. The T5 is also only available as a front-wheel drive model. The R-Design model offers a sportier trim option, and is available from $41,900. Finally, the T5 Inscription starts at $42,900.

Step up to the T6, and you get all-wheel drive. You also get 316 horsepower from the engine, as its supercharged and turbocharged. Prices for this model start at $40,300 for the Momentum. The R-Design starts at $46,400, while the Inscription rings in at $47,400.

Finally, there’s the T8 Twin Engine Plug-in Hybrid, the most powerful option. Here, you get a 2.0-liter supercharged and turbocharged engine with 316 horsepower, as you do in the T6. However, you also get an 87 horsepower electric motor, which bumps the combined output up to 400 horsepower. The R-Design trim T8 starts from $54,400, while the Inscription costs $55,400 and up, plus the $995 destination charge.

Polestar Engineered trim available exclusively with Care by Volvo service for 2019 model year

One key difference for 2019 is the addition of the Polestar Engineered trim. Volvo’s spinoff company tunes the T8 S60 to provide more power than you get in the standard model. Here, you get 415 horsepower and a whopping 494 lb-ft of torque. Polestar also bestows the S60 with upgraded suspension and bigger brakes. However, you can only get this car through the Care by Volvo service, at least for the 2019 model year. Volvo states this is a model exclusively available through subscription.

Care by Volvo is available for all models, though, and features a two-year agreement where customers can renew the subscription after the first 12 months. It includes the price of the car, wear and tear replacement, insurance through Liberty Mutual and a 15,000 mile per year allowance. Pricing isn’t available for the Polestar Engineered trim, but the T5 Momentum starts from $775 per month, not including taxes or fees. Prices increase from there depending on the powertrain and trim level you choose.
