It’s still a bargain compared to the $190,000 Jaguar charges you to buy one new.

If you’re looking to buy one of the fastest Jaguars around – the wild XE SV Project 8 – you’ll face a couple issues. The first is its eye-watering $190,000-and-up price tag. Then there’s the rarity: Jaguar is only producing 300 units worldwide. That’s it.

So, what do you do if you can’t afford to drop nearly $200,000 on a 592 horsepower Jaguar sedan? Now, the car which seized the production sedan record at the Nurburgring is available as your personal taxi. For 199 euros (roughly $226 at current exchange rates), you can ride shotgun around the Green Hell. For that, you get to experience one of the world’s most demanding race tracks in one of Jaguar’s quickest cars.

The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 has seized no less than two track records this year. It blasted its way around the Nurburgring in 7 minutes, 21.23 seconds. Then, it snatched the lap record at Laguna Seca. The time there? 1 minute, 37.54 seconds. On the way there, Jaguar pegged the XE SV Project 8 with a 3.3 second 0-60 time and a 200 mph top speed.

Thanks to that 5.0-liter supercharged V8, thrill-seekers will undeniably get a kick in the kidneys around the 12.9 mile circuit. On some of the 73 turns, a professional Jaguar driver will subject passengers to g-forces in the region of 1.3g. On turns like the notorious banked Karussell, they’ll experience up to 1.8g.

Book through Jaguar Germany

Those looking to book the two-seater Jaguar XE SV Project 8 with Track Pack can do so here. Even if you’re not in the market for it, Jaguar sells gift vouchers so you can send a friend. While using it as a stocking stuffer may be out of the question – the track closes in mid-November – it does open up again in 2019. Passengers have to be at least 18 years old, weigh no more than 265 pounds and be no more than 6’6″ tall.
