Audi invited TFLcar to get a behind the scenes glimpse at the upcoming 2021 AUDI e-Tron GT.
This was a pre-embargo glimpse, one that was (partially) hosted by Robert Downey Jr. For those of you who live under a rock, he’s the actor who plays Iron Man. He’s also one of the people who’s credited for bringing Audi to a whole new level.
He was on hand to introduce the 2021 AUDI e-Tron GT to a selected group of journalists. While we can’t discuss much about the all-electric, four-door sports sedan yet, we were allowed to get a few shots of this slightly camouflaged prototype.
Basically, the 2021 Audi e-Tron GT appears to be the love-child of the Porsche Mission-E and Audi A7. Its performance will likely be comparable to the Tesla Model S, if not even better.
The embargo for the 2021 Audi e-Tron GT falls this Wednesday, November 28, and more information will follow. But, there is one thing I wanted you all to know. Normally, I dismiss celebrities endorsing products. They rarely give a damn about the vehicle and are there for an easy check to cash. However, I honestly don’t think this was the case this evening.
I think Robert Downey Jr. is a bit of an Audi fan. His presence at the event didn’t bother me. Nope, not at all. After hearing him go on about some of his favorite Audis, hearing his conversation with a few working stiffs, I think he’s happy to be an Audi man. Sure, the checks don’t hurt either.
