Cadillac Teases Three-Row XT6 Just Ahead of Detroit Auto Show Reveal

Flagship crossover will debut this weekend

The flagship XT6 crossover will debut this weekend in Detroit.

On the heels of revealing its smallest crossover — the XT4 — Cadillac will reveal its largest crossover this weekend in Detroit. On the eve of the 2019 Detroit Auto Show, the company has teased its first photo of the model. They posted a tweet to mark the occasion:

The message was certainly succinct. So, we know it’s coming and we know it has three rows, but what else is there to the impending Cadillac XT6? Precious little, actually. We’re under the impression the XT6 will use a similar C1XX platform and sport a similar powertrain to the Chevrolet Traverse and Buick Enclave. Both of those models have a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 310 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque. Those models come mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission.

We expect the 2020 Cadillac XT6 to use similar interior elements to its smaller XT4 and XT5 siblings. Naturally, the headline feature here is that third row of seats, which makes Cadillac’s largest crossover capable of seating up to seven people. We don’t know with certainty whether Super Cruise or any other new features will make its way into this new model.
