On the heels of Cadillac’s newest three-row crossover — the XT6 — the brand threw out another three-row crossover: its first all-electric model. This crossover EV doesn’t yet have a name, but it marks the start of Cadillac’s future EV platform, and the beginning of the brand’s aggressive launch schedule.

Over the next two years through 2021, Cadillac plans to introduce a new model at least every six months. In addition to the XT6 and this new electric crossover, the company also hinted at a new Escalade and an as-yet unidentified performance sedan.

As for the electric crossover, Cadillac president Steve Carlisle aims to hit the ‘heart of the crossover market. “It will represent the height of luxury and innovation while positioning Cadillac as the pinnacle of mobility.”

Beyond these photos, Cadillac hasn’t released much more information yet on its new crossover. The company will announce more closer to the product launch. Here, at least, we’re getting a better look at what Cadillac’s electric future might ultimately look like. As is the way with its most recent conventional models, we should see a wider range of autonomous features with this EV and other new models as well.
