What’s to love (or hate) about the 2019 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro?
The response to our request of our readers and viewers to send us testimonials has been fantastic! This recent e-mail from Terrence gives us the highs and lows of his experience buying a 2019 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro (in “Voodoo” blue). Awesome color!
Although he loves the truck, he had a terrible experience getting his 4Runner in October of 2018. While he got a great deal pre-negotating the price, he says the dealer tried to push him out of the deal. Terrence said of the experience:
“The dealer did all they could to make me back out of the deal, knowing they could sell the truck for much much more. They even told their corporate controller wanted it as her next company vehicle. To add insult to injury the dealer put SR5 running boards on it, I had order predator rock rails.”
That’s a real bummer. We have lots of emails detailing negative buying experiences. Hopefully, posts like these can help fellow consumers steer through a better experience.
When the truck arrived, Terrance was quick. He grabbed his 2019 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro in Voodoo blue as quickly as possible and lamented his entire experience at Bill Fix Toyota in Rochester Hills, Michigan. He still has the SR5 steps and, while he likes the looks of them, he hopes to get the correct Predator rails when the opportunity presents itself.
What To Like (And Dislike) About the 2019 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro:
He owned a 2016 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro and he notes that this new truck has several notable improvements making a great truck even better. He likes the “resale value, exclusivity, capability and very high quality” of his newest toy.
We’re sorry you had a rough experience with purchasing your 4Runner. Fortunately, it sounds like you got a great deal regardless. He ends his letter with: “Thank you for all the fair and balanced truck reviews, you guys stand out. Best, Terrence F”
Thank you Terrance! We sincerely hope you enjoy your newest ride!
