2020 Nissan Rogue Sport Debuts With Minor Styling Updates And More Standard Tech

At the 2019 Chicago Auto Show, Nissan just unveiled the 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport. This mid-cycle refresh includes some slight styling updates, mirroring those from the 2019 Nissan Murano and 2019 Nissan Maxima. In addition to the styling updates, the 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport gets more standard technology features across the model range.

Styling Updates

There are certainly some noticeable changes to the 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport. The front fascia features a new hood, Vmotion grille, new headlights with LED DRLs, plus a new front bumper. Around the side there are some new wheels, as well. Head to the rear and some new taillights stand out. Plus, Nissan is introducing a number of new colors for 2020, including: Nitro Lime Metallic and Monarch Orange Metallic.

More tech

One of the more notable tech upgrades is the fact that Nissan Safety Shield will now be standard on all 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport models. This is a suite of driver safety and enhancement features, including Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Rear Automatic Braking. But that’s not all.

Nissan’s ProPilot Assist will now be available on the 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport. This is a single-lane ‘hands-on’ driver assistance technology that includes adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist.

Powertrains

The powertrain options remain identical to 2019 for the Rogue Sport. You have a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder that makes 141 horsepower. You can choose between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, but your only transmission choice is a CVT.
