2020 Nissan 370Z 50th Anniversary Edition: The Coolest Looking Z Car Yet?

2020 Nissan 370Z 50th Anniversary Edition

This anniversary model trumpets 50 years of Nissan’s Z cars.

Five decades ago, the original Datsun 240Z made its debut in the U.S. Since then, we’ve seen just five evolutions of that model. After the first car debuted in 1970, we’ve seen the 260Z, the 280Z, the Nissan 300ZX, the 350Z and now the 370Z. While the 370Z has been around for a decade now, this 50th Anniversary Edition carries on the torch for the brand’s Z cars, showing off that fifty years of history.

The livery might look familiar to Datsun fans of old. The Brock Racing Enterprises (BRE) livery used in the 370Z 50th Anniversary Edition throws back to the 240Z’s SCCA wins through the years. It was also used on the 40th Anniversary 370Z unveiled in 2010. Unlike that 40th Anniversary model, though, this one is available to the general public.

Apart from red and white, it’s also available in silver and black. Nissan used the base Sport trim, then went about tweaking the interior and adding red accent stitching all other the interior. The 370Z 50th Anniversary Edition sits on RAYS lightweight alloy wheels and Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires.

Underneath, the 2020 Nissan 370Z 50th Anniversary Edition is the same as the standard model. You still get a 3.7-liter VQ37VHR V6 engine with 332 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. It’s still available with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed automatic transmission. Power is still sent to the rear wheels through a viscous limited slip differential.

No word on availability or pricing yet, but this may be available with the rest of the 2020 Nissan 370Z lineup. However, with all the unique badging and the BRE look, this may well be the coolest-looking modern 370Z yet. What do you think? Let us know in the comments!
