Here Is How You Can Get More Than $8,000 Off A Brand New Jeep Wrangler

Oversupply means brand new 2018 Jeep Wranglers are going cheap

Jeep dealers are already offering huge discounts on the Jeep Wrangler JL.

Only a year ago, brand new Jeep Wrangler JLs were just starting to roll off dealer lots. While the higher price tag may have been tough to swallow then, now may be the time to jump in on a new Wrangler. Why? Jeep dealers across the country now have unsold 2018 models on their lots, and are offering massive discounts to shuffle them out of their inventories.

Let’s start with the top version of the Jeep Wrangler: the fully-loaded Rubicon. Back then, brand new Wrangler Unlimited examples could sell north of $57,000. If you thought that was a heartbreaking amount of money, good news is at hand. Unsold inventory means dealers are offering discounts in excess of $6,000 for 2018 models.

Even Rubicon models are seeing some steep discounts for 2018 models.

In fact, CarScoops also looked around and found heavy discounts on base model JLs at Huntington Beach Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in California. One two-door Wrangler Sport S, for example, is on sale right now for $8,030 off. That’s before any individual incentives like a $500 military offer or a $500 rebate. Factor those in, and you can get a Wrangler JL for under $25,000.

And it’s not just California, either. There are huge discounts on new Jeep Wranglers all over the country. Even here in Colorado, where Wranglers are steady sellers, we found a brand new $57,000 Rubicon for more than $6,000 off. Yes, it’s still a shade over $51,000, but that sort of discount makes it a more enticing proposition.

Worth the wait?

These sorts of discounts are hardly unique, but it is a bit unexpected with models like the Jeep Wrangler. They are strong sellers that hold their value over time. Since they do sell so well, they don’t face so many issues with oversupply. Now, though, the remaining 2018 models on dealer lots are available at bargain prices.

Still, $8,000 is hard to argue if you can wait awhile to buy a new Jeep Wrangler. It’s good news for buyers out there who are looking to buy a new model. These cars still have delivery mileage, but are available much cheaper than you would have paid just one year ago.
